The Fly

President Obama smites an enemy. Good shot. Worthy of BREAKING NEWS!!!!

However, no good deed goes unpunished:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Norfolk-based group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the flyswatter in chief to try taking a more humane attitude the next time he’s bedeviled by a fly in the White House.

PETA is sending President Barack Obama a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it outside.

“We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals,” PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Wednesday. “We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals.”

My take on it:

Monumental Mistake?

A public memorial honoring the nine Charleston firefighters killed in the Sofa Super Store blaze could be under way by the time the two-year anniversary of the tragedy rolls around in June, based on an ambitious schedule set by a city commission recommending plans for the site…
“The city purchased the land for $1.85 million in the wake of the June 18, 2007, fire…
“One commission member has said the memorial could cost as much as $10 million, but Bailey said that’s only a guess. “
